  • Guest：Comfortable bedrooms with private bath, plenty of hot water, free wifi, delicious breakfast included, and very affordable rates - GREAT VALUE - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Practically from the moment we stepped off the train from Cusco, Rina and her staff at Peru Coca B&B Hotel made our stay in the little pueblo of Aguas Calientes (or Machu Picchu Pueblo) a comfortable and memorable one. Tickets and guide were all pre-arranged for our visit to Machu Picchu - unfortunately, in spite of a few days spent acclimating in Cusco, I became very ill with altitude sickness (soroche) and needed medical attention from paramedics at the nearby clinic. Rina (the owner/manager) took a personal interest in my well-being, and amazed us with the lengths she was willing to go to assure my comfort and recovery. Not only did she assure my wife that she would take care of me while the rest of the family went to Machu Picchu, she made and brought chicken soup to me in our room! It was the only thing I was able to keep down, and I was severely dehydrated and in bad shape. She ensured that the EMTs from the clinic came to check on me several times to administer IV fluids/medications. As if that weren't enough, Rina took it upon herself to get the necessary paperwork together to show evidence of my illness and submit it to the Ministerio de Cultura to get approval for my ticket to Machu Picchu to be honored for the next day when I was feeling better!!! We didn't even know that was possible (tickets are generally use-it-or-lose-it) let alone how to accomplish what she did. She even bought me a bus ticket when I went on the tour the following morning! She seemed surprised when I insisted on paying her back for it. All in all, Rina treated me and my family like treasured friends rather than mere strangers during our time as guests in her hotel. When we return, we will definitely not stay anywhere else!
  • Guest：Rina is like an angel on Earth She was so kind to us it left us in awe. We messed up our train to Machu Picchu, she used her cash to buy two bimocal tickets for us at 140 US dollars she took a risk on us because she didn't have our credit card information. She met us at the train station and took our luggage to her hotel so we were able to board the bus to Machu Picchu mmediately. Rina also arranged a knowledgeable, kind hearted guide for us to tour Machu Picchu. Her hotel was exceptionally cleaning and inviting with a wonderful breakfast. The hotel is located in the heart of Machu Picchu. It's about a six minutes walk from the train and bus station to her hotel. I would recommend her hotel one million times.????????????
  • Guest：This hotel was booked for us via an external company during our 2-day MachPicchu hike. We had no choice in this selection. For Peruvian standards, it’s a nice hotel. If you are an American and took as few amenities with you during your hike as possible to reduce weight, you will be disappointed. The humidity is very high in Aguas Caliente and these rooms feel the effect of this. Each room is given one towel and one bar of soap per person on the bed. No other items at all. No shampoo or conditioner and no bath towel for the floor. The bathroom is so small that the toilet is nearly under the tiny sink and you have to use the toilet sideways. I would consider this a hostel, not a hotel. The blankets were nice but the humidity in the room is gross. The windows are slat and sliding panels that leave gaps so you hear everything from outside as if it were in your room. Tiny flies are all through the room due to these windows. It was the most uncomfortable rooms we have ever stayed in (we were given two for our family of four). I only rate this three stars instead of one because this hotel is in a remote location and in a country with very different standards than my own. I also thought the staff was great.
  • Guest：The location is good. Just walking distance from the main plaza but in the far end of the “mountain”, so be prepared to walk uphill quite a bit. But that’s part of what we visit Peru for. Right? There are plenty of restaurants and stores around. As well as small grocery stores and a pharmacy nearby. I was able to get any last minute items that I needed from there, like water, sunblock, insect repellent, etc. The rooms are comfortable. The breakfast was light but ok. The internet connection was fine. Just enough to check social media and email. The staff people were friendly and helpful when needed. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city.
